Bug Fixes
Diagnose and resolve reproducible software defects.
Open source & community engineering
Have a bug you can't get to? We'd love to help.
Technology moves forward when people help each other. We use open-source software every day—and we believe in giving back. Through Rase Gives Back, we dedicate available engineering capacity to meaningful software problems at no charge.
Where we can contribute
These are examples, not guaranteed services. We select work based on community value, feasibility, security, licensing, and available capacity.
Diagnose and resolve reproducible software defects.
Improve inefficient code, queries, or bottlenecks.
Help connect APIs, services, and compatible platforms.
Add regression tests and improve software stability.
Improve workflows, automation, and developer experience.
Contribute maintainable enhancements welcomed by project maintainers.
How it works
Share a repository, existing issue, or explanation of the engineering problem.
We evaluate community impact, feasibility, security, licensing, and capacity.
Suitable requests enter our engineering queue. Submission does not guarantee selection.
Our engineers, supported by AI-powered tools, prepare a solution with appropriate testing and review.
When appropriate, we deliver a patch, pull request, regression test, or documented findings.
All external contributions remain subject to repository rules and maintainer approval.
Who can apply?
Public open-source maintainers, independent developers, nonprofits, educational projects, startups, and other organizations may submit requests. Public open-source projects generally receive priority.
Private repositories may be considered selectively where there is meaningful community or social benefit. This program is not an offer of unlimited free commercial development.
Submissions are requests for consideration, not binding service agreements.
Visible work, verified honestly
We're just getting started.
Follow along as we contribute to the projects that help power our work.

Share enough non-sensitive context for an initial review. Please do not send passwords, tokens, credentials, private source archives, production data, or customer information.
Private repository access is discussed separately only after initial review and written agreement on scope, confidentiality, access, and ownership.
Some of the best software in the world exists because someone took the time to help someone else. We'd love to continue that tradition.
